Five launch events will be organised in Italy, France, Malta, Portugal and Turkey to present the project to a national audience of experts, practitioners and relevant stakeholders in the aviation domain. The events will be a great opportunity to share the preliminary results achieved so far. Future scenarios and key results from the survey “The transition from study to work in the aviation sector” will be presented. Keynote speakers will provide the impetus for a discussion on topics related to the project.
To keep everyone safe during the COVID-19 pandemic, all the events will be organised online.

LAUNCH EVENT – ITALY

Date: October 6 2020

Description: The skill-UP launch event will aim to present the project to Italian national audience of experts, practitioners and relevant stakeholders in the aviation domain. The event will be a great opportunity to share the preliminary results achieved so far. Four future scenarios and the key results from the survey “The transition from study to work in the aviation sector” will be presented. The event will count interventions from Pier Carlo Cacciabue, Professor at Kingston University and Politecnico di Milano and Italo Oddone, former pilot, Air Dolomiti (Lufthansa).

Launch event – turkey

Description: The skill-UP launch event will aim to present the project to Turkish national audience of experts, practitioners and relevant stakeholders in the aviation domain. The event will be a great opportunity to share the preliminary results achieved so far. Kürşad Koçak [TAV Airports Holding Group Chief Operating Officer (COO)]. He has got very huge experience about the aviation business especially ground handling and airport operation. Four future scenarios and the key results from the survey “The transition from study to work in the aviation sector” will be presented. The main topics of discussion will be around the technological innovations in aviation, such as technological infrastructures in airports (5G technology,..), cybersecurity in airports, automation and robotic applications, artificial intelligence, using autonomous vehicles in airport operations, biometric applications. Furthermore, the future directions in aeronautics will be discussed: future business models at airport business, Big Data analysis at airports, sustainability, adaptation of these sectors’ employees to change and transformation.
